    To be frank,Abbott should have done this BEFORE the election--at LEAST two years ago.Obviously,he felt it was too a hot potato,politically, to be a leader then--and do the right thing.In the meantime,millions of Mex and others have come in.

    You KNOW,he will not be running again,with this decision

    Texas does have a state guard totally independent of any sort of federal control.

    Abbot at least is trying. That situation along the border is indeed dire.
