addressing the issue someone brought up recently about the number of shots fired by the cops, npr has this explanation:

I read a sidebar earlier this a.m. that read "The 4th has been cancelled due to a lack of Independence."

YEP. Just the stop for the broken damned tail light again. Like with the Scott case in South Carolina. Cop got twenty years there.

Maybe it is just better to let them flee. Easier and cheaper that way for everyone. The colored just have that bad behavior in their system and are just NOT going to change for anyone.

Evidently the gun was unloading [?] the handgun as he was driving and there was an accidental discharge. The mag was found separated from the gun.

This Jayland had been involved in a chase the day before. Second chase in two days the cops probably wanted this guy bad. The adrenaline junkie in action?

Under black law, cops cannot stop blacks--and in the event of any complication during the stop(where the black attempts to flee, attack the cop, grab his taser/gun etc.)the cop may not defend himself or shoot the black thug.

If the black is shot--no matter if the thug is at fault--riots will result. This is meant to be a deterrent to law enforcement to refrain from stopping and engaging blacks on the road.

GRAND RAPIDS:bLACKS--ON BICYCLES--INTERCEPT AN UNKNOWN RACE PERSON,WALKING DOWN THE STREET;ONE BICYCLIST SHOT AND KILLED BY THAT ARMED PEDESTRIAN

GRA:This White witness saw the entire incident and went on TV to talk about it.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — As Grand Rapids police work to piece together the details of a Fourth of July shooting that killed a teenager, a neighbor is sharing his account of what happened moments before the gunfire started.

Roger Pickard lives across Leonard Street from where the shooting happened. He was sitting on his porch with a friend when he spotted a young man walking towards College Avenue around 3:40 p.m. Monday.

(GRA:Was he White?)

(Mixed to mostly White area.I lived one block away, years ago.)

“We seen one guy walk by and then a couple minutes later we seen three guys on bikes come up to the guy that was walking,” Pickard said.

Pickard and his friend say the young men on bicycles were wearing ski masks. Pickard said they were calling out to the person that was walking down the street. Pickard says when the riders finally caught up with the pedestrian, the situation escalated.

“When they all stopped over there, we didn’t know what was going on. We heard the popping, like four to five pops and all of a sudden you hear all of the squad cars,” he said. “They dropped their bikes and they all ran after the shots.”

Pickard believes the young man who was initially walking down the street ran away from the scene. Pickard said that young man was wearing a backpack.

Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Winstrom says the teenager who died was one of the people on the bicycles. The victim was found shot to death between two homes on Leonard Street.

(Police respond to a deadly shooting in the 500 block of Leonard St. NE in Grand Rapids on July 4, 2022.)
A family member told News 8 the victim was a 16-year-old boy whose mother lives in the area. However, police haven’t released the victim’s name or age.

Family members that arrived at the scene were screaming and in tears. One relative was heard saying, “They took my baby from me.”

(GRA:"They?"Is she insinuating a White man did this?No one is describing the race of the shooter.)

“I’m really surprised. My heart goes out to the family for their loss. It’s tragic somebody that young was killed. I’m devastated with all of the gun violence and everything that is going on nowadays,” Pickard said.

Winstrom says witnesses to the shooting are cooperating with the investigation. However, no one was in custody for the shooting as of Monday night.

GRA:An attempted robbery is what it sounds like.Actually, the race of the person who shot the black 16 year old,MIGHT have been an armed White. No description given.Could have been a black drug dealer.
