Donald Williams’ purpose appeared to be to convey the sense that Chauvin was using his knee to purposefully cause death. But Williams himself estimated that when “blood holds” are used in mixed martial arts, only a few seconds go by before unconsciousness occurs.
If Chauvin was attempting to cause unconsciousness or death, it would have taken a much shorter time than 9 minutes and 29 seconds to achieve his purpose. In fact, the “knee hold” had no effect on Floyd for a longer time than Williams said it would take to cut off the bloodflow—therefore NO EFFECT.
It was not the “knee hold” that caused Floyd’s death, or it would have happened 7 to 8 minutes sooner. It was the drugs he ingested on top of his Covid after-effects, hypertension, lung edema and self-administered drug overdose that slowly—as time moved on—caused his demise. Plus, the adrenalin from fighting the cops in the car.

The Floyd boy is reported to have been acting “strange” even before cops arrived. And admitted to Chauvin he had been “hooping” earlier in the day. “Hooping”—sticking the drug up your [butt] to get a more intense high quicker. “Hooping” I had thought a tactic only to hide the drugs from the cops.

Floyd was a disaster waiting to strike. He suffered from extensive heart problems. Had probably never seen a doctor in his life ever.
