Campaigns aimed at Black communities across the U.S. are making headway in the effort to persuade people that the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective.
With millions of dollars in assistance [bribes!] from President Joe Biden's administration [!], local groups have urged Black Americans to roll up their sleeves for shots and set aside what, for some, is a shared historical distrust of science and government.
A poll by the associated press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research in late March found that about 24% of Black American adults said they will probably or definitely not get vaccinated. That's down from 41% in January. The latest number shows Black Americans leaning against getting shots in almost the same proportion as white Americans at 26% and Hispanic Americans at 22%.
Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, said attitudes toward the vaccine among Black Americans have taken "almost a 180-degree turnaround" as outreach campaigns have worked to combat misinformation.
He credited Black physicians, faith leaders and other community organizers for being trusted messengers during the pandemic, which has killed more than 550,000 Americans.

"It's the messenger and the message," but the messenger "is probably the most important part of it, and people doing it in a way that wasn't preachy," Benjamin said. "They didn't tell people, 'You need to get vaccinated because it's your duty.' They basically said, 'Listen, you need to get vaccinated to protect yourself and your family.'"

Postscript: N.S.: I am manually posting the following four comments within this item, due to Twilight Zone events. When I post mailings from media outlets via the backdoor function, I often have problems, which can require a half-hour or more to rectify, the rectification of which can then cause additional problems. It all comes down to fruit salad code within the mailings. And the more stories the original mailing has, the more problems arise.
Thus, fixing this item caused me to lose all of the comments. Then I restored them, only to lose them again, except for their time and date stamps.
Therefore, I have resolved to either ignore such mailings, or just copy and paste one story out of each.

Who’s grifting whom? First, blacks dropping dead from ANYTHING, will be hiring Uncle ben crump to sue for wrongful vaccine death.
Margaret Brennan: “A disparity over the deaths of blacks occurring, compared to Whites from Covid vaccines, has brought a class action lawsuit by George Floyd attorney, benjamin crump, who will represent all 44 million blacks living in the United States.”
crump: “We are suing all the drug companies involved with this vaccine to the tune of 22 trillion dollars. This would amount to $500,000 dollars per person of color. We would be pleased to settle out of court for half that amount.” And they’d probably get it, too.
Not that crump is such a great attorney, but he seems to be great at using the artificially induced racist paranoia that media pounds out every hour on the hour, to force settlements over nothing. Why not the biggest grift of all time, representing the race who are the biggest grift-ERS of all time. –GRA

I’ve noticed this has not been picked up by the mainstream media with its usual hype, probably because they much prefer the young, hot-looking teachers in the headlines.
Her victim may not fit the PC narrative, either. While it’s not mentioned in the article, from what I’ve read in comments fields, it was a female she molested.

I never heard of Mumford and Sons, the band, until I saw these headlines but apparently one of their members praised Andy Ngo's book about Antifa, there was a backlash (threats and name calling) from the usual suspects, and he proved to be just another paper lion, when he begged for forgiveness:

When Clapton and Morrisey said some cogent things about the insane mass migration agenda, they got labeled and threatened also, but they didn’t apologize, and their careers survived. Even if it cost them some record sales or concert crowds were a bit smaller, they’re still doing just fine. That’s what you have to do, accept there is going to be a cost for standing by what’s right, and live with it.

WHITMER "LOOKING INTO" VACCINE PASSPORTS FOR MICHIGAN
(Breitbart)Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Sunday it is not “the role of the government” to “create or mandate” a vaccine passport, but Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) administration is in the “discussion stage” of such an idea.
During an appearance on CNN, Buttigieg said a Biden administration would not mandate the use of vaccine passports, but would “support” private sector companies that make them a requirement to participate in daily life:
“We don’t view this as the role of the government, to create or mandate any kind of vaccine passport — but these technologies are there,” Buttigieg said.
“Private sector is working on them,” the transportation secretary added. “We’re interested in following that, providing any kind of technical advice or support where needed.”
Buttigieg said the Biden administration would make recommendations to airlines to make decisions about “what they think is right to protect their passengers, to protect their workers, and to build up that confidence in the safety of American travel.”
Meanwhile, the Michigan state government is at the “discussion stage” of the concept.
“No work has begun…it’s strictly in the discussion stage,” Michigan Department of Health and Human Services spokeswoman Lynn Sutfin told the Oakland Press. “I suspect it will be an app, but I don’t have any confirmation of that.”
“Vaccine passports are a terrible idea that will only get us access to one ominous place: A totalitarian state where privacy is lost and personal freedoms are a thing of the past,” Republican Michigan state Rep. Beau LaFave said, according to NBC 6.
“Misguided politicians who support these new forms of identification are stripping away people’s core civil liberties, and we all must come together to stop this abhorrent idea in Michigan,” he continued.

New York currently has an active vaccine passport program in place, the Excelsior Pass, that will allow patrons of businesses and venues to show digital proof of vaccination or negative test results. The governors of Hawaii and Illinois have also voiced support for vaccine passports, and Hawaii is currently developing a program to be rolled out in the coming weeks.
The governors of Florida, Texas, Utah, and Idaho have passed legislation or executive orders prohibiting the use of vaccine passports.
“I will soon introduce legislation to make it unlawful for Governor Whitmer to implement a vaccine passport program,” LaFave said.
That legislation would need to be signed into law by Whitmer, who mimicked the policies of other progressive states, most notably New York, during the pandemic.
GRA:Well,here we go.The government may wash their hands of passports and even deny complicity,but WOULD allow--or ENCOURAGE business to do the dirty work for them,that is,ban people from various places without proof of a vaccine.
