PGCE-P: Charm City continues to charm us.

Funny, but the last time I was in Baltimore was many years ago. I had dinner with some family members at an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Don’t remember which one, but cool old post-World War II ambiance.

Young, attractive woman waited on us. Dusky hue to her skin. Exotic looking, but definitely Caucasian by looking at her facial features. I asked her where she was from and she replied a bit testily, “My mother is from Spain, and my father is from Morocco. But I’m an American just like you are!”

An American just like you are.

Interesting that in the very same ‘hood a statue to Christopher Columbus has just been pulled down.
