21,000
Every day I get up and, after breakfast and a big mug of espresso, start reading the day’s new madness and evil.
My head spins, but my people all over the country have sent me new dispatches, some as short as a title and a link; others fully fleshed-out essays.
They’re war stories from Civil War II.
I recently passed the 21,000-item milestone.
Some of the older friends reading this, may end up like the aging character played by Russell Simpson, “Dad” Knowland, in Ford’s They were Expendable (1945).
With the Japs approaching the Philippines early in The War, and MacArthur pulling our boys out, Dad sat on the wooden steps in front of his house, a rifle across his knees, ready to make a last stand.
Other, younger men reading this, may eventually head to the hills, to make offensive plans.

I thank you, and your posterity will, too.
