Controversial message on the back of Las Cruces business
A message painted on the back of a business in Las Cruces is raising some eyebrows. The message reads, "End Operation Wetback II Now!"

N.S.: The meaning of "controversial" has been so twisted over the past generation, that it's impossible to know how to respond to the question.

I say START Operation Wetback II. Trump promised that illegals would be gone quickly, but most are still here and we haven't seen anything like the massive deportations that Eisenhower initiated. And the first Operation Wetback caused many illegals to self-deport before they were forcibly kicked out. If Trump were serious about fixing the immigration problem he would have imitated Eisenhower--as well as getting serious about the wall, E-verify, ending birthright citizenship, ending chain migrations--all while Republicans held the House. Now he wants to INCREASE legal immigration so Chinese and Indians can take American jobs and eventually vote for socialist Democrats. As for the term "wetback" being racist, it does not refer to Mexicans--if refers to CRIMINALS who illegally crossed the border. Criminals do not get to choose what they are called.
No! Make Operation Wetback even more pervasive and worse for the illegal. Make the illegal tremble with fear.

What crime beyond crossing the border do they do? Borders are fluid things. This isn't the same as entering a private home.
