No word if car was in the self-driving mode. Really all these Tesla accidents are a result of driver error: the driver erred in buying an overpriced gimmick car--most likely to impress others with his wealth, hipness, or greenness. Never mind that the electric power doesn't magically appear in the charging cord--it comes from a power plant. And Tesla drivers err in thinking a computer can replace the mind of a well-trained and experienced driver. Recently a Tesla crashed because the silly car couldn't make up its mind whether to follow an exit or the main highway--and chose the middle course. Tesla claims that the driver is supposed to be supervising the car at all times--but if the car is doing the driving, the driver is really not paying complete attention.
