The mother of a man who landed a fatal punch on a pedestrian – in an unprovoked attack – has reportedly shrugged off the attack as “no big deal.”

Sherron O’Hagan, mother of Lewis Gill, the 20-year-old who was jailed for manslaughter, insisted that the uproar would go away soon enough.

The 41-year-old told the MailOnline outside her home in Sutton yesterday: ‘It was just an accident. It’s not a big deal. This will all be forgotten tomorrow. He’s my son, what do you want me to say? He didn’t mean to kill him and that’s that.’

‘This story will be the lining of chips tomorrow. I just don’t understand what all the fuss is about.’

Gill was given four-and-a-half years in prison for the fatal blow which knocked Asperger’s sufferer Andrew Young, 40, to the ground killing him.

A public outcry at the sentence has led to dozens of people complaining to the Attorney General – automatically sparking a review of Gill’s case amid complaints that it was ‘too lenient.’

Gill struck Young – who has the mental age of 14 – on a busy Bournemouth street on November 6 last year.

Young suffered serious head injuries and died the next day with his 71-year-old mother at his bedside.

Horrific CCTV footage emerged of the incident, which showed the pair in conversation alongside two of Gill’s friends before he turned his body and hit Young before walking off.

The man killed was disabled by definition. Killing a disabled person is normally an aggravated offense and you get three times the punishment that is normal. But this England, isn't it?

Sherron O'Hagen is the mother and complaining? Sherron is a white woman? That culprit looks awfully white. Lots of admixture there.

3rd degree murder is manslaughter. YOU are convicted of killing WITHOUT intent, but killing nonetheless. Reckless misconduct.

The judge seems to almost suggest that the victim was partially to blame by reproaching the villain. The villain was misbehaving and "reproaching" is enough to get you killed? This judge needs to be arrested.

And as the man is laying there dying or already dead the culprits just casually stand near by chatting.

TO THEM the killing of a whitey WAS no big deal

Even if the sentence is four years and some months only half or less than that will probably be served. England is very lenient. Even for serious offenders. They have toughened up in some cases with life sentences but had to have the "Law Lords" justify such "stiff sentences" in accord with EU standards.
